🔥 Hybrid heater for more steam

The PAX 4 Vaporizer is PAX’s very first standard-size portable vaporizer to adopt hybrid heating, and it’s a real game-changer. The walls of the oven heat the herbs directly by conduction, while a flow of hot air passes through the chamber to provide additional convection. By combining these two approaches, the PAX Four is able to extract active and aromatic compounds much more effectively than with a single isolated method.

The PAX Four offers four predefined settings, ranging from 190 °C to 220 °C, each associated with a color on the petal-shaped LED logo:

• Violet – 190 °C
• Green – 200 °C
• Yellow – 210 °C
• Red – 220 °C

A simple press of the button switches from one mode to another, without menus or complex settings.

The two lowest levels, 190°C and 200°C, bring out finer, more nuanced flavors, with a light vapor. The two higher levels, 210°C and 220°C, produce a denser, warmer and more expressive vapor, ideal for those seeking more intense character and fuller extraction.

The PAX 4‘s stainless steel heating chamber can hold up to 0.3 g of dried herbs. Its funnel shape makes filling really easy: the flared opening naturally guides the herbs inwards, limiting waste around the oven and eliminating the need to clean up after each load. The Oven is designed exclusively for dry herbs and is not compatible with concentrates or the dedicated insert of older models. For best results, simply grind the herbs to a medium-fine consistency, fill the chamber to the top, then tamp lightly to ensure even heating.

🔋 Battery and recharging

The PAX Four packs a 2800 mAh battery, capable of providing around 50 minutes of use, or typically four to five sessions depending on the temperature selected. Recharging is via USB-C, with a time of around 90 minutes to go from empty to full, although speed may vary depending on the cable and adapter used. At any time, simply shake the PAX 4 to check the battery level: each lit petal on the LED logo represents around 25% remaining charge.

The PAX 4 Vaporizer is controlled entirely by a single button, in the brand’s trademark minimalist spirit. Operation is simple and intuitive:

• Remove the lid from the chamber, fill with crushed herbs and lightly mash.
• Replace the cover and hold down the button to switch on the appliance.
• Press briefly to select one of the four heating modes.
• Wait for the vibration: this is the signal that the oven has reached the selected temperature. The LED logo then displays the color corresponding to the active mode.
• Press the button again to switch off the vaporizer.

The PAX Four vaporizer reaches temperature in 55 to 70 seconds from a cold start. Once hot, the oven retains heat very well from one inhalation to the next, enabling smooth, steady sessions without loss of performance.

💤 Standby and auto shutdown

The PAX 4 intelligently manages its energy thanks to a reactive standby system. After around 30 seconds of inactivity, the vaporizer automatically switches to standby mode: the LED logo turns blue and the chamber begins to cool gently. If no interaction is detected for around 60 seconds, the device switches off completely to preserve the battery and avoid unnecessary heating.

Returning to the session is immediate: just pick up the PAX Four again, and it reactivates and quickly heats up.

🧼 Cleaning and maintenance

The PAX Four Vaporizer uses a closed steam path, which guarantees clean steam, but requires regular maintenance. A quick brushing after each session, while the chamber is still slightly warm, prevents residues from building up. The wire brush supplied is perfectly suited to this quick and easy operation.

For a more thorough cleaning every one or two weeks, simply remove the grille from the chamber, soak it in isopropyl alcohol, then rinse and allow it to dry completely. The heating chamber and mouthpiece can be cleaned in the same way. Wiping the silicone mouthpieces with a damp cloth before each use keeps them clean, fresh and pleasant to the mouth.
